I offer a grounded, soul-rooted container for grief, shadow, and transformation. Here, you are not asked to choose light over darkness, or healing over hurting—you are invited to bring your whole self.

Integrating the unseen, embodying the whole

Wild Geese

“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting–
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”

Modalities Rooted in Body, Soul & Psyche:

Our work lives in the space between the seen and unseen—where memories are held not only in the mind, but woven into the body, breath, and bones. Trauma, love, lineage, and longing all live in the soma. Together, we listen for what the body remembers and what the soul is ready to reclaim. This is not about fixing what’s broken, but embodying what has always been whole.

Whether it’s grief that longs for witness, a dream that won’t let go, or a nervous system learning how to feel safe for the first time, our sessions become a space to soften, remember, and reweave.

About Joanna 🪷🌀

Hi, I’m Joanna, a trauma-informed relational somatic coach.

I help clients navigate complex emotions, trauma, life transitions, and identity shifts by creating a grounded space where all parts of you are welcome—especially the ones that have felt silenced or pushed aside.

My approach integrates somatic therapy, depth psychology, mindfulness, and relational neuroscience. I'm also deeply influenced by liberation psychology, which recognizes how systems like capitalism, patriarchy, and colonization impact our mental health and sense of belonging. I work with each client to build an inner foundation rooted in safety, clarity, and wholeness—not perfection, but presence.

Before counseling, I worked in finance, co-founded a startup, and led UX design projects for Fortune 500 companies. That background gives me a practical understanding of stress, burnout, high-performance environments, and the toll it takes on our nervous systems. My transition into therapy came through personal experiences with trauma, plant medicine, and grief—and a desire to help others return to themselves in an honest, embodied way.

Clients often say they feel seen, not analyzed; supported, not judged. Whether you're working through early attachment wounds, big life decisions, or simply trying to feel more regulated and alive, our sessions become a space to slow down, get curious, and move toward healing at your own pace.

What is Wholeness?

I don’t believe healing is about striving to become whole—we already are. But trauma, shame, and disconnection can cause us to forget. In our work together, I hold a sacred, relational field where all parts of you are welcome—your rage and radiance, numbness and clarity, grief and joy.

I draw from Undoing Aloneness, the powerful framework from Diane Fosha, who reminds us that “healing is a byproduct of being met”—not fixed. In my experience, that meeting happens most deeply when we co-create a space that can hold the full ecology of your being. Wholeness, then, is not a fixed state—but a relational, moment-to-moment practice of co-regulation, witnessing, and compassionate truth-telling. It is allowing even the most exiled parts of ourselves to be seen, held, and welcomed home.

Like a sky that holds thunder, rain, and a quiet sunset all at once, our sessions become a container where your inner weather can unfold with dignity. I also ground my work in liberation psychology, recognizing—as bell hooks writes—that “The personal is political. Our wounds do not emerge outside of culture—they are shaped by it.” In this spirit, our work honors not only your personal story, but the collective and systemic layers that shaped it. This is a space where we listen with presence, reclaim with courage, and remember that being human is not a problem to solve—but a mystery to be met, together.

Psychedelic Journey Support: Preparation, Integration, and Embodied Remembering (8+ Hours)

I offer a grounded, safe, and non-judgmental space to support your journey through altered states—whether you're preparing for, navigating, or integrating an experience with plant medicine, breathwork, or other transpersonal practices.

Together, we move through three sacred phases:

  1. Preparation – We begin by exploring your intentions, trauma history, relationship to touch, and what safety means for your body and nervous system. I offer education on the medicine, dosage, and setting, as well as emotional and relational support. This is a time to ground, get curious, and build a foundation of trust—especially if you are learning to reconnect with your body, your boundaries, or the unknown.

Journey – The moment you cross the threshold. Whether I’m supporting from afar or in collaboration with a guide, this is the space where everything softens. What’s been hidden may rise. What’s been exiled may return. You are held by the sacred container we’ve built together.

  2. Integration – The place where the real work begins. Together, we help your insights land—in the body, in your relationships, in your choices. Through somatic presence, ritual, and reflection, we create space to process grief, release what no longer serves, and align with what’s true.

Why Relational Integral Somatic Coaching?

Intergenerational patterns affect our daily lives. Together, we’ll identify and move past cycles that no longer serve you.

Break Cycles

Wholeness

Life throws us curveballs. In our session, you are invited to examine life’s paradoxes: beauty and pain, shadow and light.

Heal Trauma (Unhealthy Coping Strategies)

If your nervous system is stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn, we can slowly reprogram it together to achieve rest and promote healing.

We will work together to enhance the way you take care of yourself. By examining and refining your survival strategies, we’ll pave the way for personal transformation.

Improve Self-Care

Life can be overwhelming. We will develop strategies together to manage stress and anxiety, helping you find balance and peace.

Manage Stress and Anxiety

Enhance Relationships

Building strong, healthy relationships is crucial. We’ll work on improving communication, understanding, and connection with those you care about.

Together, we will work on building your confidence and self-worth, helping you recognize and appreciate your true value.

Self & Nervous System Awareness

Build Boundaries

Exploring your needs, desires, and dreams takes courage. We’ll work together to help you learn to advocate for yourself from a place of inner love, trust, and respect.

Riding the waves of emotions together.

Meeting you where you are means honoring every part of your story—no emotion too big, no experience too complex.

Whether it’s a dream that lingers, a moment of heartbreak, or a memory that won’t let go, I believe all experiences—imagined or lived—carry emotional truth and deserve space. Together, we will learn to feel your emotions not just intellectually, but somatically—through the body’s sensations and signals.

“Our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge.”
Audre Lorde

In my practice, I offer a relational, grounded, warm, and discerning presence. These are the pillars I return to again and again:

  • Emotional Safety: Creating a secure and supportive environment where you can explore your innermost thoughts and sensations without judgment or fear.

  • Compassionate Engagement: Offering empathetic and direct communication that fosters mutual trust and connection.

  • Insightful Reflection: Supporting you in uncovering emotional and relational patterns—gently exploring the roots of your experiences so you can grow with clarity and choice.

Learning to feel—truly feel—takes time. Like riding a bike with training wheels or catching your first wave, emotional resilience builds through practice. Our work becomes a place where you can learn to ride these waves with steadiness, presence, and self-trust.

Come work with me

I offer a space for visionaries, survivors, and sensitive souls who carry contradiction in their bones—grief and joy, silence and rage, longing and wisdom. For those who have learned to perform, caretake, or endure in order to survive, this is an invitation to return to the parts of you that were left behind. Through somatic integration, parts work, dream alchemy, and archetypal inquiry, we tend the quiet places—the body’s knowing, the soul’s signals, the shadow’s truths. This is not a space for self-optimization or spiritual bypassing. It is a sanctuary for soul retrieval, where we honor complexity, beauty, and the slow unfolding of wholeness. You are not too much. You are not too late. You don’t have to carry it alone.
